THE ASSIGNMENT: THREE OPTIONS

1. Select one of the 12 films or the Cheers series and cut a trailer no longer than :90 seconds which promotes the film as a picture of a different genre. Choose the genre from the list above. For example, Grease (1978) as a Sci-Fi/Apocalypse story or Breathless (1960) as a Musical.

2. Select one of the 12 films and cut a commercial which promotes the film as a network television situation comedy. For example, Kiss Me Deadly (1955) as a TV Sitcom. The commercial must be exactly :30 or :60 seconds long. No more, no less, to the frame.

3. Select TWO films (you may include the Cheers series) and cut a trailer no longer than :90 seconds which promotes the 'mashed up' films as a picture of a third genre. For example, combine Bride of Frankenstein (1935) with Cheers (1982-1993) and promote it as a Political Thriller picture.

REQUIREMENTS

Your trailer must be an advertisement which promotes and sells the "film". Simply telling a story is not sufficient.
