THE ASSIGNMENT? TWO CHOICES:
1. Select one of the 15 films above and cut a trailer no longer than :90 seconds which promotes the film as a picture of a different genre. Choose the genre from the list above. For example, Batman & Robin as a Romance/Love Story or Nanook of the North as a Musical.
--OR--
2. Select TWO films above and cut a trailer no longer than :90 seconds which promotes the 'mashed up' films as a picture of a third genre. For example, combine The African Queen with Planet of the Apes and promote it as a Techno Thriller picture.
REQUIREMENTS
Your trailer must not exceed :90 seconds and must switch genres. If your entry does not meet these criteria, it will be disqualified no matter how good the work.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, you must be a full-time assistant editor at an AICE NY member company or a freelance assistant editor, sponsored by an AICE NY member company.
DEADLINE
Deadline for entries is Wednesday, October 13, 2010, 5:00pm EST.
The Camp Kuleshov Show and Awards Presentation will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Bar M1-5. Doors open at 6:30pm.
